The Southlake whole-house cleanout guide
Room order, realistic timing, and how to estimate how many trucks you'll need.

Start with the bottlenecks
Clear the garage first if it's packed — it's usually the loading point. Then the rooms closest to the door, then upstairs, then the attic. This keeps the carry path open.
Estimating volume
A rough rule: a fully furnished bedroom is often a medium load on its own; a packed two-car garage can be a large load or more; a whole furnished home is frequently multiple trucks. Photos give us a much better read.
How long it takes
Completion time depends on contents, access, truckloads and scheduling. Ask for a project-specific timeline after photos or a walkthrough rather than assuming a one-day cleanout.
Donate, sell or haul?
Sell valuable items first, set aside donations, and let the rest go in one haul. We can set aside usable items for donation where practical.
Keep the photo inventory current
Label photos by room and update them after movers, buyers or donation pickups take items away. Note spaces that must remain usable during the work. Estimates are easier to compare when every quote uses the same remaining contents and access details.
Quick planning answers
Can I get an estimate from photos?
Yes. Text a wide photo of each space, close-ups of heavy or unusual items, and the path to the truck. Include your location and preferred timing. Larger estates and structural removals may need a walkthrough. The final price is confirmed before removal.
Is same-day junk removal available?
Same-day service is available when the schedule permits. Call or text your location and project details to check. A specific appointment is not booked until scheduling is confirmed.
